It seems that the term blockchain is inextricably linked with cryptocurrencies. But this is only a glance at the surface. Blockchain is used in such areas as:
- In the transportation of goods and services. Blockchain helps to systematize, improve efficiency, avoid errors and damage to goods. For example, Maersk and Walmart.
- Healthcare. With the help of blockchain, patient data is transmitted in encrypted form, and the patients themselves can contribute to the study of diseases without fear for the safety of sensitive information.
- Intellectual property. The most striking example is NFT, which we wrote about in our recent article
- Real estate. In real estate, blockchain helps to store data on owners and conduct transactions with less paperwork
- Voting in elections. Here, blockchain is simply irreplaceable — it makes the procedure transparent and open, storing data on candidates and people’s preferences.
