On 27 February, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law on the use of digital financial assets (DFA) in international payments.
Digital financial assets may now be used for foreign trade transactions subject to compulsory control within the framework of foreign economic activity. The Central Bank is given the right to request information on the owners of digital assets, and the Bank of Russia is authorized to regulate transactions with them.
