From 2015 to 2024, authorities say Rodrigues and Hill operated an unlicensed business, processing $2 billion in anonymous transactions, with funds from sanctioned individuals, cybercriminals and darknet marketplaces Silk Road and Hydra passing through the wallet.
Icelandic law enforcement authorities seized Samourai's servers and domain, as well as the wallet's mobile app from Google Play, which has more than 100,000 downloads.
