Previously, the company did not disclose information about its management team. The appointment of the board of directors is part of the crypto exchange's strategy to comply with the requirements of the US authorities.
The board includes:
- Binance CEO Richard Teng;
- Binance's top manager Heina Chen;
- Binance's top manager Jinkai He;
- Binance top manager Lilai Wang;
- Barbados' former ambassador to the UAE Gabriel Abed;
- Managing partner of investment firm Gojo & Co Arnaud Ventura;
- Bayview Acquisition executive director Xin Wang.
Following the agreement with US authorities in November, Richard Teng announced his intention to establish a more traditional corporate structure at the exchange.
As a reminder, the charges by US authorities forced the exchange to pay a $4.3 billion fine and the resignation of exchange founder Changpeng Zhao, who is awaiting sentencing on separate charges, with a trial scheduled for April.
