Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Yury Ushakov said that BRICS will work on developing its own payment system based on digital currencies and blockchain:
«We believe that an important goal for the future is to create an independent payment system within the BRICS that would be based on the most modern technologies, such as digital currencies and blockchain. Most importantly, it would be comfortable for states, people and businesses, wouldn't require serious expenses and would be beyond politics».
The main objective for this year is to increase the BRICS' influence in the international monetary and financial system.
